Just like Uber you can now allow your customer to see where your engineer is on a map and give them an estimated to time arrive. We call it Field Team Geo-location.
Of course, you don't have to let them have this information but it will most likely save a call into the office and a call from the office to the engineer to explain where they are. And really empowering your customers with the information they need makes your client service look great - and saves you actually having to speak to them. That in itself can save a lot of time, especially if you have a lot of engineers and a lot of customers.
